Description
Norway's iconic wild salmon is in dramatic decline, a victim of fish farming and climate change. This has sparked concern among sport anglers and those who make a living from the hobby, which has become part of the country's DNA. Following the drop in the number of salmon swimming upstream to spawn, authorities last year suspended fishing in 33 waterways and introduced new restrictions this year. "To go in the river and see it's totally dead, it's a disaster. I feel heartbroken. It's my life," says fisherman Christer Kristoffersen. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES ARRANGED IN SEQUENCES
