On July 4, 1994, Channel 8’s Doug Fox reported on a group of motorcyclists—many riding Harleys—who joined the Highland Park parade to celebrate freedom their way. To them, the motorcycles were works of art, emblems of independence, and symbols of Americana. In a community not known for bikers, the chrome parade made a bold impression.
