Description
Travelers flying in and out of Tampa International Airport (TPA) this summer might want to take a second look at their flight plans.
Two major airlines — Spirit and JetBlue — are trimming dozens of scheduled flights from their summer itineraries at TPA, citing economic uncertainty and shifting travel trends.
According to a recent report, Spirit Airlines has cut 84 planned flights out of Tampa through July. That includes flights to Las Vegas, New Orleans, Atlanta, and several others to cities.
JetBlue is reducing its schedule by 44 flights, slashing service to Boston, Rhode Island, and both LaGuardia and JFK airports in New York.
