Description
Multiple crashes significantly impacted traffic on Interstate 70 Thursday morning amid wet and rainy conditions.
Around 4 a.m. June 5, INDOT said a crash involving an overturned semi had closed all but one lane of westbound I-70 near Sherman Drive on Indianapolis' east side.
As of 7:45 a.m., one additional lane had reopened, but the two right lanes remained closed, causing a several-mile backup approaching downtown.
In an alert around 10:15 a.m., INDOT said all lanes had reopened in the area.
