Description
Ten more former Indiana University men's basketball players are planning to sue the university over examinations from a former team physician who died last month.
ESPN reported the latest planned litigation in a story Tuesday night. Attorney Michelle Simpson Tuegel confirmed to 13News she currently represents 10 former players, as reported by the network.
The new list of players coming forward would bring the total to 15 who plan to file or join litigation against the university over the alleged actions of Dr. Brad Bomba Sr., who died May 8, 2025 at the age of 89. The former IU basketball players allege Bomba Sr. sexually abused them during annual physicals at the school.
The list of athletes who previously filed lawsuits against the university's trustees and longtime IU head men's basketball trainer Tim Garl include Butch Carter, Larry Richardson Jr., Haris Mujezinovic, Charlie Miller and John Flowers.
