Description
Gov. Mike Braun has fired the three elected members of Indiana University's Board of Trustees and appointed replacements.
Donna Spears, Vivian Winston and Jill Burnett were all removed from the board at the start of June. All three had been elected to their position.
In their place, Braun appointed broadcaster Sage Steele, attorney James Bopp Jr. and attorney Brian Eagle. Braun also reappointed Quinn Buckner, the current board chair.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue serving my alma mater, which has given me so much,” Buckner said. “As chair, I welcome my new colleagues to the board and am excited to collaborate as a team to continue propelling IU to new heights.”
