Description
Winds aloft will carry wildfire smoke into the Plains and Great Lakes Friday and this weekend.
Will you see it?
Yes, you'll notice the skies looking a little more hazy across the southern and western horizon, especially around sunset. The sun may look a bit more red and orange.
Will you smell or notice it on the ground?
In Indiana, you would have to be very sensitive. Most of the particulates are higher up in the atmosphere. Some Americans in the central and northern Plains may notice it on the ground. Low air quality is possible in the central U.S.
