Description
Tall ships from around the world parade up Amsterdam's North Sea Canal, launching the five-day maritime festival which celebrates the city's seafaring past. The Sail Amsterdam festival, welcoming crews from Peru, Uruguay, Germany and France, is now in its 10th edition. According to Amsterdam harbour master Milembe Mateyo, the Sail-in Parade is the event's most challenging moment. "During the Sail-in parade, we allow no seagoing ships on the canal," she says.
