I mean, it’s typical Trump stupidity — him focusing on things that aren’t consequential and trying to distract from the real issues going on,” said Ender Tuncay. Tuncay said he’s indifferent about the name itself. “I’d be fine with them changing the name back. I’d be fine with them keeping the name Commanders.” A spokesperson for the National Congress of American Indians said Monday the organization was finalizing a statement in response to Trump’s comments.
