Description
Meet Maurice | Maurice was born with congenital diaphragmatic hernia, a condition that occurs when the diaphragm doesn’t form properly in utero, resulting in an opening in the muscle that separates the chest and abdomen. When Maurice was born, he required care in the Rady Children’s NICU for the first two weeks of his life. Maurice is doing well today, thanks to the care he received at Rady Children’s.
On August 26, CBS 8 and Rady Children’s held a Working Fur Kids Give-A-Thon, encouraging donations from the community in an effort to raise funds for the Rady Children's Resident Professional Canine Therapy program. The program will help ease the pain and suffering of children who are patients at Rady Children’s Hospital, California’s largest non-profit children’s hospital.
