A judge sentenced an Indianapolis man to 40 years in prison for attacking another man in the hallway of an apartment in Fountain Square in January 2024. In April, Brandon Eaton, 36, was found guilty of attempted murder and two counts of aggravated battery. He was sentenced on May 27. Christina Burton said she and her husband, Joshua Burton, were leaving their apartment building in the 900 block of Prospect Street the night of Jan. 27, 2024, and saw a man looking into cars in the parking lot and allegedly asked them if they had any meth.
