An Indianapolis woman is doing her part to make sure children have breakfast this summer as the state backs out of a program aimed at helping hungry kids.
Last year, more than 600,000 Hoosier children enrolled in the federal SUN Bucks program, which provides $120 per child, per month, to the families of kids who qualify for food benefits and reduced-price school meals.
But Indiana opted out of the program for 2025.
