Indiana officials are warning of new scam messages that appear to be coming from state agencies, alleging unpaid toll fees. 13News employees have received emails and text messages May 12 and 13 that appear to be coming from several state agencies, including: Indiana Governor's Office Family and Social Services Administration Indiana State Comptroller Indiana Department of Correction Indiana Department of Child Services Indiana Department of Education Indiana Department of Environmental Management Indiana Department of Insurance Indiana Department of Transportation Indiana Office of Technology Indiana Horse Racing Commission "You have unpaid toll fees totaling $6.69. Failure to pay may result in penalties or vehicle registration holds," the messages state, along with a link you're instructed to click to pay your balance.
