IMPD is investigating after a person was critically injured in a stabbing in downtown Indianapolis Monday. The incident was reported shortly before noon May 12 near the intersection of North Pennsylvania and East Washington streets. Responding officers located a victim with "trauma" who was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, a department spokesperson said. A person was taken into custody, the spokesperson said, adding that "their involvement, if any, is unclear at this time."
