Description
Historic changes are coming to the Indiana High School Athletic Association, but not the ones you may think.
During its annual review of member school rules on Monday, May 5, the IHSAA Board of Directors voted to turn down a proposal that would let smaller high schools "team up" for sports programs.
Union Jr.-Sr. High School principal Ryan Chiddister proposed the change to the IHSAA bylaws, allowing two member schools to team up for athletic purposes.
While the board turned down this proposal, it still added girls flag football to its "Emerging Sport Process" and adopted changes regarding first-time transfers.
The board also adopted the first-time transfer proposal of Rule 19 (Eligibility and Transfers).
