Description
This spring, 7-year-old Zaiden is excited to play baseball.
Mom Katie Loveall is excited, too.
"It's important to let them (kids) kind of use their energy wisely and have an outlet for it," Loveall said.
Zaiden playing a sport also means Loveall needs to buy him a good amount of gear.
"I was a little caught off guard," Loveall chuckled. "I won't lie."
A few things on their list: colored socks, a helmet, glove and bag.
She estimates she spent around $175 in addition to registration.
Prices like that are the reason some sports families turn to secondhand items.
