Description
An Indianapolis man charged with causing a deadly crash while intoxicated is trying to get a judge to allow him to drive again.
The lawyers for Bradley Woods filed a petition on Tuesday, April 15 for a specialized driving privileges permit. The petition comes about a week after a judge decided Woods would not be getting his drivers license back.
The recently filed court documents show Woods wants to drive to and from work, to court, to doctor appointments and to church. He has requested to be able to drive Monday through Friday from 5:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. so he can drive to and from work, which is listed as a south Indianapolis gym in court documents.
Court documents also say that Woods has asked to be able to stop for gas and groceries on an as-needed basis.
Woods is charged in the death of 20-year-old Avery May. The crash happened on the southeast side of Indianapolis in December 2023. May's girlfriend, Rylee White, was also in the car and suffered serious injuries.
