Description
Motorists who use 56th Street in Lawrence should expect travel disruptions.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the east approach of 56th Street will be closed Tuesday, April 15 at Pendleton Pike for a project expected to be completed in about 45 days.
Traffic going west on 56th Street will be redirected to Sunnyside Road and Pendleton Pike.
Eastbound traffic will use Mitthoefer Road, 52nd Street and German Church Road as a detour.
Motorists will be able to use Pendleton Pike to enter Crew Car Wash and Aldi. Never Enough Storage customers will enter via 56th Street.
During the project, Poindexter Drive will be open but will be restricted to only right-hand turns onto 56th Street.
