Get your RX checked! This month, Ascension St. Vincent and 13News have partnered to offer medication reconciliation appointments. These “RX Checks” are free and available in Indianapolis to those of you who are 60 years or older who are taking five or more daily medications. This includes prescription and over-the-counter pills, as well as supplements. Medication reconciliation appointments are an opportunity for you to speak with a pharmacist about your personal list of medications. Medications can be life-saving, but sometimes can cause harmful side effects or interfere with each other. As your health changes, medications may lose effectiveness or become unnecessary.
