Description
"When I got this job, the first thing people told me was, 'When it rains, Jackson County floods,'" Indiana Conservation Officer Claire Jenkins said.
With more rain in the forecast, the east fork of the White River, near Seymour, is already out of its banks.
"I was talking to another conservation officer who was doing this for 19 years, and he said this is the highest river he has ever seen, and it is only going to get higher," Jenkins said.
Officers expect the White River to crest Sunday night or early Monday morning. Jackson County could see another 7 inches of rain before then.
