Description
Indiana Congresswoman Victoria Spartz is reacting publicly to the two loud and vocal town halls she hosted for constituents over the weekend.
"In today’s political climate, these town halls are not always easy, but they are an essential part of the democratic process," Spartz said in a statement Monday. "I appreciate all the 5th District constituents who took the time to attend, ask questions, and engage in meaningful discussions. The radical left still hasn’t learned that shouting and screaming won’t work — no one is going to be intimidated and silenced. I hope at least some attendees were able to hear the common sense policies I am working to implement to benefit all Americans."
After a loud town hall in Westfield Friday night, Spartz held a second town hall Saturday morning in Muncie.
At both events, frustrated voters and some supporters demanded answers on questions centered on cutting government spending.
