America's true crime obsession continues with "Happy Face" on Paramount+.
Melissa G. Moore is adapting her own story as she found out at 15 years old that her beloved father, Keith Hunter Jesperson (Dennis Quaid), was the prolific serial killer known as the "Happy Face killer."
After decades of no contact with her father while he's serving life in prison, Melissa (Annaleigh Ashford) is forced to confront her father after he gives her an ultimatum.
"I feel like this series goes into the deeper conversation of what it's like to actually live with a serial killer and live in the serial killer's crimes shadows, which I don't think has ever really been portrayed on screen before," said Moore, who previously co-wrote an autobiography called "Shattered Silence" and hosted a podcast called "Happy Face."
New episodes of "Happy Face" are released Thursdays through May 1 on Paramount+.
