Description
Tornado sirens in Marion County are up and running again after a technical glitch kept them silent during a statewide tornado drill Tuesday. The county conducted a re-test at 11 a.m. Friday, March 14 and reported no issues. Hancock County also successfully fired off their sirens again at 11 a.m. In Hancock County, emergency officials experienced a glitch Tuesday, March 11 in where the sirens didn't go off when activated via a commander app. They say there was a glitch with vendor Federal Signal's computer program responsible for firing off the sirens. Shortly after, Federal Signal issued an update that allowed the sirens to activate correctly in the re-test.
