Description
Fire crews are working to put out hotspots following a 3-alarm building fire in southwest Houston Wednesday evening, according to the Houston Fire Department.
HFD said a call came in around 5:30 p.m. to report a fire in an electrical panel near a stairwell in a 4-story office building off the Sam Houston Tollway near Bellaire Boulevard.
When the crews arrived, they aggressively attacked to contain the fire, but it got very hot on the second floor.
When a second alarm arrived to the fire, windows were breaking due to shifting winds. The fire was eventually ruled a 3-alarm, meaning they had over 125 firefighters on the scene.
