Two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Josef Newgarden was on hand at the Indianapolis International Airport Thursday to unveil the ticket design for the 109th running of the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing."
The ticket, designed in-house by IMS senior art director Mandy Walsh, brings attention to Newgarden's status as a back-to-back Indy 500 winner by showing parallels between his drives in 2023 and 2024.
Newgarden, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, helped use the event to co-promote Southwest Airlines' new nonstop flights from Indianapolis to Nashville. The IndyCar season finale is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 31 at Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon, a suburb of Nashville.
