A pedestrian was killed in a crash on Indianapolis' northeast side Saturday morning. According to IMPD, just after 5 a.m. on Feb. 22, officers responded to the area of Shadeland Avenue and East 65th Street, near Interstate 465 and East 71st Street, on a report of a pedestrian struck. When officers arrived, they found a victim in the road who was unresponsive. The victim was unfortunately pronounced dead on the scene. Police said the driver of the vehicle who hit the pedestrian remained on scene.
