A juvenile is in police custody after a chase Sunday afternoon in Speedway. According to the Speedway Police Department, around 2:30 p.m. Feb. 16, Speedway officers became involved in a stolen vehicle pursuit that began in the 1800 block of North Lynhurst Drive, near Crawfordsville Road. Police said the pursuit ended roughly 2.5 miles west, in the 7400 block of River Walk Drive, when the juvenile suspect began to flee on foot. According to police, the juvenile suspect briefly entered a nearby body of water in an attempt to evade officers. IMPD officers responded to assist Speedway police. The juvenile suspect was eventually located by IMPD officers in the 7700 block of Eagle Valley Pass and taken into custody without incident.
