Advocates say since 1989, 50 innocent men and women have been wrongfully convicted in Indiana. That’s what Winnie Ye told lawmakers Tuesday, testifying in support of a bill at the Indiana Statehouse.
“Collectively, that’s 50 men and women who lost more than 436 years of their life to a wrongful conviction,” The Innocence Project's Winnie Ye told the Senate’s Corrections and Criminal Law Committee Tuesday.
