Description
A Carmel man has been sentenced for a March 2024 road rage incident that turned into an ax attack.
Jimmy Calhoun, 58, accepted a plea agreement on Wednesday, Feb. 5, pleading guilty to one count of battery by means of a deadly weapon in exchange for the prosecution dropping Calhoun's felony intimidation charge.
Calhoun was then sentenced to two years on home detention and two years on probation. He has also been given 65 days jail credit.
Calhoun also still owes restitution to the victim, Chet Montgomery, but that amount still remains to be determined.
