Description
There's a warning from the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission about a product leaders say can cause long-term consequences on your health.
"Whippets" are a growing concern. They come in tiny canisters about the size of a AA battery. Often abused for a brief euphoric high, authorities warn they're not only dangerous, but illegal.
"Over the past year, the ATC cited 18 businesses, confiscating over 18,000 canisters," said Jessica Allen, chairwoman of the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission.
ATC became more aware of stores selling whippets legally just last year. They're often sold in gas stations, smoke shops and convenience stores.
