Instead, politicians are starting their own special session. Florida lawmakers filed a number of bills on illegal immigration and the ballot initiative process ahead of the special session. The House and Senate were gaveled in on Monday morning. Before noon, the gavel came down again, officially ending Special Session A. Special Session B began shortly thereafter.
