IMPD is investigating after a person was critically injured in an overnight shooting on Indianapolis' near east side. The incident was reported around 1:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, in the 3700 block of East Vermont Street, near North Sherman Drive. Responding officers located a gunshot victim who was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, a department spokesperson said.
