Many drivers who frequently use 71st Street on Indianapolis' northeast side will have to take an alternative route for the next week. INDOT crews are closing East 71st Street at Interstate 465 for one week from 7 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 to 7 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30. The closure, which also includes the adjacent trail, is for Clear Path project crews to demolish the old I-465 South bridge over 71st Street.
