Description
It took more than four hours and dozens of first responders from several departments to extinguish a house fire in Westfield Monday evening.
Calls came in about a fire the 500 block of East Main Street (State Road 32), near North Union Street, around 7:40 p.m. Jan. 20. When the first trucks arrived, they found heavy fire coming from a home and observed the flames had also spread to a nearby home.
Extremely cold temperatures and conditions at the scene that became icy hampered firefighters, a spokesperson said.
