Description
Before a big arctic front brings -20 wind chills to Indiana, a rain / snow mix is possible Saturday morning. Some snow accumulation is possible.
Two fronts will collide:
1. Strong arctic front from the northwest
2. Weak front with some rain showers from the southwest.
They are expected to meet over Indiana, squeezing out some rain showers changing to snow showers. Some brief accumulation is possible (couple inches), especially across parts of northern and eastern Indiana. However the snow won't last all day Saturday because the Arctic front will push it out and rush very cold air into the state.
Temperatures next week may only reach the single digits across Central Indiana. Wind chills may dip below -20 degrees.
Stay warm out there and watch for slick spots from leftover snow, new snow, and refreezing.
