People walking down Massachusetts Avenue Wednesday were bundled up, and so were some of their dogs, as temperatures hovered in the teens.
"If you're younger or you're older and you don't need to be outside, don't go," advised Tom Arkins, with Indianapolis EMS.
Arkins said from Jan. 1 to Jan. 15, , medics received 71 calls for cold-related emergencies. This year, there have been 134 calls.
