Description
It was a messy commute on the east side of Indianapolis Tuesday morning. A water main break led to a massive sinkhole near East 10th Street and Emerson Avenue.
Jennifer Stowers told 13News about the rough start to her morning.
"It was a, 'Oh my gosh, like how did I miss this? What happened? How did I miss this?" Stowers said.
Stowers said she was driving down 10th Street around 6:30 a.m. Jan. 14 when she came upon the flooding near Emerson Avenue.
"I was like, 'OK, since I have a small vehicle and it sits low, I'm going to try and go through the shallow end of the water,' and the next thing I know, boom," Stowers said.
