IMPD is searching for the suspects in an alleged attempted carjacking that left a person shot on Indy's northwest side Wednesday evening.
According to IMPD Capt. John Arvin, around 8:52 p.m. on Jan. 1, officers responded to the 4700 block of West 34th Street, near Georgetown Road, on a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they found an adult male with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
Capt. Arvin says detectives are investigating the incident as an attempted carjacking. Police say the victim was reportedly shaken up from the incident and could not recall where the attempted carjacking took place. He drove his car to a nearby gas station, but police are canvassing nearby areas for clues.
