A teenager is expected to recover after being shot following an alleged argument on Indy's west side Saturday evening. According to IMPD Capt. Rob Rider, shortly after 9 p.m. on Dec. 28, officers responded to the 1400 block of South Gerrard Drive, near South Lynhurst Drive and Plainfield Avenue, on a report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found a teenage male who had been shot. Preliminary investigation revealed the victim was walking down the street when he allegedly got into an argument with someone in a vehicle.
