IMPD is investigating after a man who was shot walked into Indianapolis' Central Library downtown Monday evening.
Police responded to a report of a person with a gunshot wound at 40 E. St. Clair St., near Pennsylvania and East 9th streets, around 5:30 p.m. Dec. 23.
Officers arrived and found a man who had been shot. Medics took him to a hospital, and his condition is said to be "stable."
Thanks to witnesses and surveillance cameras, investigators learned the shooting happened at West 9th Street and North Capitol Avenue, which is approximately one-third of a mile northwest of the library.
