There's a new book out on Larry Bird, but "As If By Magic" doesn't just focus on his legendary NBA career. Author Randy Mills gives readers an insight on Larry's high school days. When basketball fans usually think of Larry, they remember the NBA championships with the Boston Celtics and his coaching career with the Indiana Pacers. But, Mills wanted to write a book about Larry before he became a legend. "Larry came out of nowhere from one year to become probably the greatest high school basketball player we've seen in Indiana," Mills said. Mills remembers seeing Larry play at Springs Valley High School and went to college with one of Larry's brothers. "As I say in the book, I knew Larry Bird before he was Larry Bird. He was Mark Bird's brother," Mills said.
