One person is dead and two people are injured, including a firefighter, after a house fire early Sunday morning near Greenfield. According to Greenfield Fire Department PIO Luke Eichholtz, the fire was reported at the 100 block of South Center Street in Maxwell just after 12:30 a.m. Dec. 22. Multiple fire crews responded to the scene. Eichholtz said a woman was able to get out of the burning home, but a man wasn't able to. Crews said the man was found by firefighters in the home and taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
