IMPD is investigating after a man was shot and killed on Indy's east side early Monday morning. Around 12:30 a.m. Dec. 16, officers responded to a report of the shooting in the 7900 block of Corinthian Road, near East 21st Street and North Franklin Road. When officers arrived, they found a man, later identified as 23-year-old Dana Anthony Andrew Jones Jr., who had been shot outside a home. Jones was taken in critical condition to IU Health Methodist Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Capt. John Arvin with IMPD said a caller reported shots fired in the same area just 30 minutes before this shooting happened.
