While kids are getting their Christmas lists together, law enforcement in Hamilton County want to help.
On Saturday, over 60 kids "shopped with a cop". Kids like Kylar Williams, who knew exactly what he wanted.
"I'm really happy and feel like I am going to have so much fun already," he said.
This experience is through "Shop for Kids," an organization that brings together Indiana State Police and several Hamilton County Agencies to help families buy Christmas presents.
"We started with ten families, $100 a piece and since that time over the last 15 years we've grown," President Dustin Dixon said.
Dixon told 13News they had their highest number of families because it has gotten harder for some to shop for the holidays.
"People think it doesn't happen in Hamilton County, but I can assure that it does happen and there are people in need, they just need a little bit of hope," ISP Superintendent Doug Carter said.
Hope; these officers want to bring into the kids' lives.
