Description
If you're impatiently waiting for the final season of "Stranger Things," fill that void with Peacock's "Hysteria!"
The horror-comedy series is set in a small town in the 1980s during the "Satanic Panic," as a trio of high school outcasts capitalize on the town's sudden interest in the occult by rebranding their struggling heavy metal band into a Satanic metal band,
"I play the chief of police, Chief Dandridge, who is trying to keep a lid on what they're not sure is real or not," said Bruce Campbell ("Evil Dead" franchise, "Burn Notice").
The ensemble cast of high schoolers include Emjay Anthony ("Bad Moms," "Physical"), Chiara Aurelia ("Cruel Summer," "Luckiest Girl Alive"), Kenzii Curtis ("Dolemite Is My Name," "Modern Love") and Nikki Hahn ("Adventures in Babysitting," "American Housewife").
"It's like herding cats. They've got their own distractions with their social medias and whatnot," Campbell said of the young actors. "It's really a lot of fun because they're not jaded like me. I just try to lead by example: know your lines, hit your marks."
All eight episodes of "Hysteria!" are now streaming on Peacock.
