IMPD is investigating after a man was injured in a shooting on the near northeast side of Indianapolis Thursday evening. The shooting was reported around 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14 in the 3300 block of Brouse Avenue, near East 34th Street and North Keystone Avenue. Callers to 911 reported people shooting, people fighting in the street, and then a person down, IMPD Capt. Don Weilhammer said. Responding officers located a man who had been shot. His condition was initially reported as "serious." Weilhammer said the man was "stable" when taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
