Description
IMPD announced the arrest of a suspect in an alleged "intentional" hit-and-run crash that killed a man on Indianapolis' west side over the weekend.
The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 in the 5700 block of West Morris Street, which is near West Washington Street and Interstate 465.
When officers arrived, they found 40-year-old Perry Banks with traumatic injuries lying in the parking lot of a bar. Banks was taken in critical condition to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
IMPD said they learned the incident was an "intentional act" by the suspect, and the IMPD Homicide Unit was contacted to respond to the scene.
