Description
Early voting continues at the Marion County voting center in downtown Indianapolis.
"It was smooth, the transition, the parking, the workers, everybody had a smile, so it was a good experience today," said Carla Williams, who had just finished voting.
On Tuesday, Nov. 5, poll workers will have more to look forward to.
Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett announced poll workers who work Election Day will receive a pay increase.
"I am so excited about it," Marion County Clerk Kate Sweeney Bell said.
Bell hopes the raise will encourage more people to sign up to work Election Day.
Pay for Election Day workers will go from $100 to $180. Pay for Election Day inspectors will increase from $200 to $240 a day.
