A suspect was arrested after a man was found fatally shot inside a Lawrence County home Monday evening, police said. Around 6 p.m. Sept. 30, Bedford Police Department officers responded to the 700 block of I Street, near 7th Street, for a report of the shooting. Officers located a man, identified by police as 27-year-old William M. Boggs, of Bedford, in a bathroom with an apparent gunshot wound. Boggs was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses provided police with information on a suspect and car that left the scene. That car was later seen traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 50 by a detective with Indiana State Police.
