IMPD on Monday announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with an April double shooting on Indianapolis' northwest side that killed a 16-year-old boy and critically injured a man.
The 21-year-old suspect was located Friday, Sept. 6, by Violent Crimes Unit detectives and taken into custody "without incident," IMPD said in a social media post. He was arrested on preliminary charges of felony murder, attempted murder and robbery.
A 22-year-old man with the suspect at the time ran from police and was taken into custody after a "short foot pursuit," police said. He faces preliminary charges of possession of narcotics and resisting law enforcement.
